Printing posters for the purpose of, let’s say, educating your customers regarding the things that you offer can help you make a credible and reliable image. Not only that, but posters also help you to enlarge the reach of your market and it lets your client know what to do while encouraging them to take action. An interesting and well-executed poster design is very important in order to get the best result or outcome. However, as designing is not everyone’s forte, it can get quite tricky. Even some graphic designers forget the important and crucial things in designing posters. In this article, we will compile several posters designing and printing tips that you should take note of so that you can make sure the poster you are going to print will come out in the best quality.

1. Make concept, structure, and theme

This first step in creating an awesome poster design is actually very crucial. You have to brainstorm for the kind of poster you want to have. Ask yourself what is the purpose of your poster and gather all the relevant information that can help you create a concept that matches the initial idea and goal of purpose that you have set. A well-thought poster with a clear theme, concept, and structure will appeal better to anyone who reads it.

2. Don’t hesitate too much

Being creative and unique is good. In the graphic design world, everyone strives to be original to avoid copyright issues. The more you are able to look distinct and eye-catching, it will be good for you as the designer or the party that distributes the posters, but also the customers and clients. Originality is highly appreciated in terms of designing and printing poster said Kiasuprint.

3. Think of the print size

The knowledge of print size is very important if you are willing to make a poster or any other printing goods. The design of your poster must be suitable for the print size. Commonly, the layout of a poster is 8.5 x 13. You have to always check on the print size and the size that you are designing it in. The size must be the same.

4. Use print bleed

Graphic designers and printing shops are very familiar with the bleed area on a design. It is the area on the sides or edges of the paper that should be let free as a blank space. Leaving space for bleed will make it easier for the trimming process during poster printing. If you don’t leave an area for bleed, it will be more difficult for the printing shops to trim your cards and the result may not be the same.

5. High resolution

Make sure that you use a high-resolution image and also the layout design itself as well. If you print in a low resolution, the final result will show pixelated images and nobody wants to waste paper like that. At the very least, use 300 dpi so that you can produce great quality images.
